Policies to follow

Our following policies and procedures help you to understand our requirements. We expect centre to follow these policies for the conduct of their business activities. You can find them in the centre portal or centre handbook.

External Moderation Policy and Procedure
It outlines the External Quality Assurance Process to determine whether centres are assessing UQL qualifications fairly, accurately and consistently according to national standards and UQL set standards

Data Protection Policy
This policy ensures that UQL complies with current data protection legislation in dealing with its centres, learners and any third party.

Issuing Results and Certificates Policy and Procedure
This document aims to ensure that centres and UQL follow the quality assurance process before the issuing of results and certificates while meeting regulatory requirements.

Suspected Malpractice and maladministration Policy and Procedure
The policy set out how UQL take all reasonable steps to prevent any malpractice and maladministration in the development, delivery and award of qualifications, which it makes available or proposes to make available.

Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration
UQL aims to provide open access to its qualifications for learners who are eligible for reasonable adjustments and special consideration in assessments. The principal purpose of this policy is to inform centre staff, UQL staff and staff responsible for assessment with particular reference to examinations and coursework.

Exemptions, Credit Accumulation and Credit Transfer Policy
This policy aims to provide learners and centres with detailed guidance to help in the credit accumulation, credit transfer and exemptions towards UQL qualifications while meeting regulatory requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning Policy
This document also provides support, clarification and guidance to centres on implementing of UQL policy regarding the recognition of a learners’ previous work-related achievements and/or qualifications.

The process of Managing Withdrawal of Qualifications for Centre
The purpose of this document is to protect interests of learners when the centre wishes to withdraw the delivery of UQL qualification.

Enquiries and Appeals Policy and Procedure
This document outlines UQL policies and procedures regarding outcomes of assessments, decisions in relation to access arrangements or special consideration, and decisions regarding malpractice and maladministration.

Complaints policy
This document describes UQL procedures to ensure a consistent, open approach to addressing complaints and to ensure that all our customers are provided with the best customer service, we will ensure that individuals who use our services have the opportunity to feedback to us. Feedback can include positive and negative comments, and these will be taken seriously to improve our services.
